Despite the strong impact of the Coronavirus on the automotive industry, the demand for our non-crimp fabrics in this sector continues to grow. As a result, SAERTEX® has decided to cluster our consulting expertise by creating a dedicated sales team for the automotive industry, as we have with our Aerospace, Wind Energy and Industrial Applications business units.

We are pleased to announce that SAERTEX will have a new production site in the north of Mexico in Ciudad Juárez. This new facility will join 14 other SAERTEX production sites strategically located around the world. Originally, SAERTEX had planned to open the Ciudad Juárez facility by the end of 2020. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, however, the date has been postponed to early 2021. Preparations are still in full swing, and we regularly review the schedule to adapt to the current situation.

The SAERTEX® program of environmental management has been certified since 2009. We are continuously working on the sustainable optimization of our processes and products, both globally and locally. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that SAERTEX has again been awarded the “Ökoprofit-Betrieb” certificate.
