CARBURES BUILDS ROOF OF THE NORMAN FOSTER FOUNDATION IN MADRID USING SAERTEX LEO® MATERIALS

Saerbeck, September 13, 2017 – The world-famous group of architects FOSTER + PARTNERS, headed by Lord Norman Foster, has rebuilt the headquarters of its Norman Foster Foundation in Madrid. The roof of the newly constructed “Pavilion of Inspirations” was built using SAERTEX LEO® materials which offer increased protection against fire.

The “Pavilion of Inspirations” is part of the newly built NORMAN FOSTER FOUNDATION in Madrid, which was opened at 48, Monte Esquinza Street in June 2017. The pavilion and its 172m2 roof were designed by Lord Norman Foster, David Delgado, Raúl Gómez, and Jorge López, and the roof takes the form of an airplane wing with a lightweight structure. “Vision of the Fjords, Ship of the Year 2016 in Norway”: Brødrene Aa and SAERTEX® win the JEC Innovation Award 2017

Saerbeck/Paris - SAERTEX®, together with Brødrene Aa and two other partners, wins the prestigious JEC Innovation Award 2017 in the “Better Living” category for the tourist ferry “Vision of the Fjords”, which is constructed almost completely of carbon. The project team will receive the prize on March 15, 2017 during a ceremony at the JEC World 2017 exhibition in Paris, the most important international trade show for the composite industry.
