SAERTEX at the Composites Europe show in Dusseldorf

The SAERTEX group successfully presented itself from the 7th to the 9th of October 2014 at the Composites Europe, the 9th European Trade Fair & Forum for Composites, Technology and Applications in Dusseldorf.

The global market leader in developing and producing glass, aramid and carbon fibre multiaxial NCF (non-crimp fabric) for use in manufacturing fibre reinforced materials, which are known as composites, attracted visitors to its stand with two product highlights.

SAERfoam is a unique closed pore foam core reinforced with 3D glass bridging employed in manufacturing laminates of sandwich structure. The latter are used e.g. in the wind power industry instead of the balsa wood often used in making fan blades. What’s special here is that bridge alignment and density can be used to optimise mechanical characteristics and weight.

SAERTEX LEO is a new type of composite system that meets the high fire safety requirements set in the offshore, maritime and construction businesses and in making railway locomotives whilst simultaneously avoiding any negative influence on mechanical key performance indicators as was usual in fire protection systems to date.
