SAERTEX® strengthens partnerships at the Distributor Meeting 2023

Saerbeck, 29.11.2023 – Almost 50 distributors from all over Europe gathered at the SAERTEX headquarters in Saerbeck last week. Employees from SAERTEX's international locations also traveled to the event to discuss new sales strategies and the latest developments of multiaxial fabrics.

The agenda for the two days was extremely varied. The participants were given an exclusive insight into SAERTEX's production processes, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the quality and efficiency of manufacturing multiaxial fabrics out of glass and carbon fibers. Direct discussions with the experts present on site facilitated an intensive exchange of ideas and deepened knowledge of innovative production technologies.

The focus was to jointly develop a long-term vision for this sales channel. Goals were discussed, their significance was worked out and joint implementation strategies were developed. These form the basis for the future direction of the company and promise pioneering developments. "We want to further expand the partnerships with our distributors and double our turnover via this sales channel in the next three years," says Santiago Perez-Castillo, Sales Manager Europe and North Africa for the business unit Industry.

The practice-oriented workshops were another focus of the meeting. Here the participants had the opportunity to get to know the new carbon fabrics "Magic Flow" and "Steady Plus" for particularly thick fiber composite components and the new SAERfix for self-adhesive fabrics. In the laboratory, participants were able to carry out processes such as layup and vacuum infusion independently. The examination of a various composite materials provided in-depth insights into the complex world of manufacturing technologies.

A main topic of the meeting was the focus on shared responsibility for sustainability and environmental awareness. SAERTEX is committed to developing and implementing sustainable solutions that minimize environmental impact and maximize resource efficiency. It was therefore a real highlight to present the new bio-based fabrics made of flax fibers and their applications in boat building.

The intensive days were rounded off with an evening event at the Hafenkäserei in Münster. This networking opportunity enabled the participants to further deepen the insights and contacts made. The atmosphere of the evening helped to strengthen not only professional but also personal connections.

"The distributor meeting was an ideal opportunity to deepen our partnerships and work together to drive the composites industry forward. The diverse workshops enabled our sales partners to better understand not only the products, but also the vision of SAERTEX," says Daniel Stumpp, Head of Global Marketing at SAERTEX.
