SAERTEX announces that the company has been awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis. This award recognizes SAERTEX's outstanding efforts in the area of sustainability. The entire SAERTEX Group has received a good rating, placing it in the top 35% of companies within the EcoVadis rating system.

Saerbeck, 29.11.2023 – Almost 50 distributors from all over Europe gathered at the SAERTEX headquarters in Saerbeck last week. Employees from SAERTEX's international locations also traveled to the event to discuss new sales strategies and the latest developments of multiaxial fabrics.

Saerbeck, Dcember 12, 2022 – SAERTEX is undertaking a worldwide reorganization of its capacities for producing technical textiles made of glass and carbon fibers. Additional capacities for making lightweight carbon fiber fabrics are being created at the two German sites within the company’s global production network. In parallel with this, plant and machinery for producing glass fiber NCFs will be installed at sites in India, South Africa and Turkey in order to adapt the company’s delivery performance to a change in regional demand.

Saerbeck, April 26, 2022 - SAERTEX and Pontis have agreed on a new, close cooperation. The projects focus on the field of "Last-Mile Delivery," which offers electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles a more sustainable mobility solution for the transport of people and goods. Saerbeck, April 13, 2022 - SAERTEX and Terre de Lin have launched a collaboration for non-crimp fabrics with flax fibers for the marine and sports & leisure segments. The partnership of the two companies aims to combine SAERTEX´s expertise in reinforcement materials with the large capacity of one of the world´s biggest suppliers of sustainable flax fibers, Terre de Lin.

Saerbeck, March 30, 2022 - SAERTEX will impose a surcharge for deliveries in the business segment of multiaxial non-crimp fabrics made of glass, carbon and aramid fibers for lightweight construction. This measure is explained by the massive increase in prices for raw materials, consumables and auxiliary materials as well as transport and energy costs.

Production of multiaxial glass fiber non-crimp fabrics for lightweight construction applications will commence immediately at the new production facility in Ciudad Juárez, northern Mexico. Saerbeck, 12. November 2020 – This year, the AVK (Industrial Association for Reinforced Plastics) presented two innovation awards to the SAERTEX Group. Both SAERTEX and SAERTEX multiCom were honored for their innovations in the respective categories. For the first time, the award ceremony was held as an online event this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saerbeck, September 14, 2020 – On August 27, 2020, Safran and SAERTEX signed a 10-year contract on cooperation for the production of aircraft equipment made of carbon fiber fabrics. Under the contract, SAERTEX will supply multiaxial carbon fiber fabrics with which Safran may produce engine nacelles for various aircraft using infusion technology.

SAERTEX^® supports the BMWi-funded research project HyFiVE (Hybrid joining technologies for connections in maritime use), in which five industrial companies and three scientific institutions develop new technologies and evaluate them for maritime use.
 
Lightweight construction, as a key technology for sustainable transportation solutions, is difficult to establish in shipbuilding due to inadequate joining technologies between fiber composite materials and steel. Another complicating factor are the high fire protection requirements and the lack of standards for the use of fiber composite materials for ships at sea.

Saerbeck, 18 February 2020, Bombardier Belfast and SAERTEX^® have reached an agreement to contractually extend their cooperation on the manufacture of lightweight components made of carbon-fiber, non-crimp-fabrics for the Airbus A220 aircraft.
