For nearly 40 years SAERTEX^® has been synonymous with innovation and quality in the production of textile reinforcement materials made of glass, carbon and aramid fibers. This is also reflected in the innovations that the fabric manufacturer is introducing at this year's JEC WORLD in Paris (hall 5, booth J6).

In July 2019, SAERTEX^® acquired one hundred percent of shares in the Bavarian company TK Industries GmbH, further expanding its range of heavy-tow carbon fiber multiaxial fabrics.

Saerbeck, May 24 2019 – SAERTEX^® is pleased to announce its contribution to the prototype production of a wind turbine blade with probably the longest carbon fiber spar cap made in vacuum infusion technology so far.

Paris, March 13, 2019 - SAERTEX announces a strategic partnership with the internationally operating manufacturer of resins, gelcoats, adhesives and specialty polymers SCOTT BADER for the production and distribution of its SAERTEX LEO system. At JEC WORLD 2019, a cooperation agreement has been signed by both companies. It aims at combining the performance capabilities of both partner companies for applications that meet the highest fire protection requirements and further developing the LEO system. To this end, the sales and support teams of SAERTEX and SCOTT BADER work closely together and can provide their customers on the world market with high-quality consultancy and fast availability of fire-protection-relevant materials for the production of composites.

The SAERTEX LEO series stands for optimum fire protection in rail transport, the marine market or the construction industry. For the renovation of the floor panels in 66 trains of the ICE fleet of the Deutsche Bahn with fireproof SAERTEX LEO materials, SAERTEX recently received two awards: On November 5th, SAERTEX was awarded 3rd place at the AVK Award in the Products/Applications category for its project at the International Composites Congress (ICC) in Stuttgart. In addition, the entry won 1st place in the Railways category at the JEC ASIA Innovation Award, which was presented on November 15th at the JEC ASIA trade fair in Seoul, Korea.

Saerbeck, 1 July 2018 – Effective 1 July 2018, SAERTEX has realigned the operational management of the group. For this purpose, the company has transferred management to the SAERTEX Global Executive Board with Christoph Geyer as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Christoph Geyer has been a member of the SAERTEX Group managing board since October 2016 in the role of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and, in future, will also be responsible for the global sales activities of the company in addition to his new role as CEO. The other members of the Global Executive Board are Dr. Guido Kritzler as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Dietmar Möcke as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

At JEC WORLD 2018 in Paris, SAERTEX is presenting a newly-developed glass-fiber reinforcement material that will be used for the production of wind-turbine rotor blades. The unidirectional high-strength fabric achieves tensile strengths that are up to 20% higher. In addition, the process of laying-up the fabric in the component without wrinkles is significantly improved, thereby shortening the lay-up time.

At JEC WORLD 2018 in Paris, SAERTEX launched a unique process innovation for its multiaxial high-end carbon-fiber fabric: SAERTEX^® Smart Defect Control for improving the quality of SAERTEX carbon-fiber materials.

SAERTEX USA, LLC in Huntersville, North Carolina re-engineered its processes for further growth in the NAFTA markets. Milestones within this re-engineering process were the setup of new key processes, introduction of the SAP ERP system and the investment in a new customer service office facility.

Saerbeck, September 15, 2017 - SAERTEX® is investing in the efficiency of its Saerbeck production site. A new, state-of-the-art 10,000 m2 production building was successfully completed this spring. Investments were also made in new machine technology for the carbon production sector. Both are part of the SAERTEX® global production strategy with digitally networked locations in 9 countries on 5 continents.

Saerbeck, September 13, 2017 – The world-famous group of architects FOSTER + PARTNERS, headed by Lord Norman Foster, has rebuilt the headquarters of its Norman Foster Foundation in Madrid. The roof of the newly constructed “Pavilion of Inspirations” was built using SAERTEX LEO® materials which offer increased protection against fire.

The “Pavilion of Inspirations” is part of the newly built NORMAN FOSTER FOUNDATION in Madrid, which was opened at 48, Monte Esquinza Street in June 2017. The pavilion and its 172m2 roof were designed by Lord Norman Foster, David Delgado, Raúl Gómez, and Jorge López, and the roof takes the form of an airplane wing with a lightweight structure.

Saerbeck, April 06, 2017 – SAERTEX® draws positive results from the company's attendance at JEC World, the leading international trade fair for composites, which took place in Paris from March 14 to 16, 2017. The exhibited lightweight carbon construction solutions were, in particular, received with keen interest by visitors from all over the world.

SAERTEX has more than 30 years of experience in the design and application of non-crimp fabrics (NCF) for thermoplastic composites. Every day, the products are being developed further.
