SAERTEX Portugal is quickly expanding its production capacity by 50 percent to meet the fast-growing demand for multiaxial non-crimp fabrics made of glass, carbon and aramid fibers.
It is increasing the production area of its plant in the northern Portuguese town of Lanheses by 2,300 square meters. The first machines have already been installed, and production is scheduled to begin at the new plant in July 2016. The expansion also means that SAERTEX® Portugal is creating at least ten new jobs. “Our customers expect top quality and short delivery times. By expanding our location in Portugal, we want to ensure they get both over the long term,” explains Managing Partner Klaus Lammers.

With an annual turnover of approx. EUR 320 Mio. €, the family-owned company SAERTEX® is the global market leader in the manufacture of multiaxial fabrics (non-crimp fabrics) and core materials for the production of fiber-reinforced composites.
