At JEC WORLD 2018 in Paris, SAERTEX is presenting a newly-developed glass-fiber reinforcement material that will be used for the production of wind-turbine rotor blades. The unidirectional high-strength fabric achieves tensile strengths that are up to 20% higher. In addition, the process of laying-up the fabric in the component without wrinkles is significantly improved, thereby shortening the lay-up time.

Saerbeck, 15 February 2018: The JEC INNOVATION AWARD, which is awarded during the course of JEC WORLD in Paris – the leading trade show for composite materials – is considered to be the most important innovation competition in the industry. SAERTEX has entered the competition with three projects – and all of them have landed on the shortlist for this year’s prize. The award ceremony takes place in Paris on 7 March.

Almost 24 hours to the minute after the fire alarm was triggered, operations at SAERTEX GmbH & Co. KG have resumed at 100 per cent. Employees in the administration and production have been back on the job since 06:00 a.m. 

Since the early morning, the production hall on the factory premise of SAERTEX multiCom in Saerbeck has been burning. Currently the fire is being fought by the fire departement. The factory premise has been evacuated and according to the most recent status no one has been harmed. We will give updates on the status here as well as through our communication channels.

The fire on the factory premises of SAERTEX multiCom has been brought under control by the fire department. The warning to the local residents has been lifted. Thankfully no was harmed and only material damage result from the fire.

SAERTEX USA, LLC in Huntersville, North Carolina re-engineered its processes for further growth in the NAFTA markets. Milestones within this re-engineering process were the setup of new key processes, introduction of the SAP ERP system and the investment in a new customer service office facility.

As one of eleven companies from the district of Steinfurt associated with the Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Protection (ECOPROFIT), SAERTEX is participating in the nationwide “Energy Efficiency Networks” initiative. Our goal: Within one year, we want to save 1.5 to 2 percent of the kilowatt-hours of our entire energy requirement and thus do our part to reduce CO2 in the commercial sector.

SAERTEX is again attending the JEC Asia Composites Show taking place on 1-3 November 2017. The 10th edition of the International Composites Show organized by the JEC GROUP will be held for the first time in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

After postponing due to Hurricane Irma in September, CAMX now announces new dates. SAERTEX is looking forward to attending the industry’s premier event in North America taking place on December 12th to 14th, 2017.
