SAERTEX is committed to the environment
As one of eleven companies from the district of Steinfurt associated with the Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Protection (ECOPROFIT), SAERTEX is participating in the nationwide “Energy Efficiency Networks” initiative. Our goal: Within one year, we want to save 1.5 to 2 percent of the kilowatt-hours of our entire energy requirement and thus do our part to reduce CO2 in the commercial sector.
Here is the background: At the end of 2014, representatives of the German government and German industry agreed to introduce 500 energy-efficient networks and to support them until the end of 2020 in order to improve energy efficiency as part of Germany’s exit from nuclear and fossil-fuel power. The head of the district authority, Dr. Klaus Effing, and the eleven companies signed the corresponding founding agreements in August.
After the ECOPROFIT network, which has been in existence since 2004, the Energy Efficiency Network is now the second network in the district of Steinfurt (Germany) that has set itself the goal of energy conservation. Both networks are supported by the district of Steinfurt. The following companies have banded together to form networks: Arning Bauunternehmung (Steinfurt), Hengst SE (Nordwalde), RAG Anthrazit (Ibbenbüren), Natura-Holzbau (Rheine), Dachser SE (Rheine), wedi (Emsdetten), SAERTEX (Saerbeck), Quadrant Plastic Composites (Lotte), BOS (Emsdetten), Schemberg-Einrichtungen (Mettigen), and Raiffeisen Ochtrup eG.
