Brødrene Aa: Carbon NCF for emission-free fjord catamarans
Three modern sightseeing ships, one common goal: Together with Brødrene Aa, SAERTEX has supported the development of three more lightweight and efficient carbon catamarans that enable low-emission passenger transportation on the Norwegian fjords.

Brødrene Aa wanted to develop a fleet of environmentally friendly sightseeing ships that are emission-free and quiet - without compromising on comfort and design. The aim was to enable sustainable nature experiences for tourists.
With the first sightseeing ship „Vision of the Fjords“ in the Seasight design series, Brødrene Aa has already set a milestone for environmentally friendly ship operation. And the success story continues!

SAERTEX supplied the carbon fiber fabrics for all three sightseeing boats. This resulted in a lightweight yet stable construction. Thanks to the long-term cooperation, SAERTEX was not only able to improve the structural performance of the catamarans, but also contribute to the realization of the world's first purely electrically powered carbon catamaran and thus to more sustainable passenger transport.
The collaboration between Brødrene Aa and SAERTEX goes back many years. From the "Vision of the Fjords" to the 2018 award-winning "Future of the Fjords" to the "Legacy of the Fjords" and the latest ship "Rygerelektra": Brødrene Aa and SAERTEX have been setting standards for sustainable, emission-free passenger transport on the Norwegian fjords for years.
This continuous development shows: Sustainable mobility solutions on the water can be successfully implemented with technical expertise and the right materials.
