Ekin Muovi Oy, a Finnish family business, recognized the advantages of using SAERfoam for the first time during an industrial project in 2012. This development led to further projects, and in 2014 Ekin Muovi began large-scale production of various components for SCANIA city buses, which are marketed both domestically and internationally.

During the manufacturing process, Ekin Muovi uses a vacuum infusion process with polyester resin, multiaxial glass fibers, and structural SAERfoam®, but at the same time opted to use the structural flow media SAERflow® to ensure perfect impregnation in the shortest possible time. SAERfoam® is available in various sheet sizes, but also in kits that have been pre-machined using CNC machines to facilitate large-scale production. The use of SEARflow® with improved resin flow allows for a reduction in the number of resin feeds without compromising performance. In addition, SAERfix® offers a customized adhesive multiaxial fabric that reduces preparation time and consumable costs.
Ongoing collaboration with Ekin Muovi takes place through projects with SAERfoam® where structural properties, highest quality and competitive costs are required.
The SAERTEX team is available to provide technical support to customers who could benefit from using SAERfoam.
