Scientists and students at the École de technologie supérieure (ETS) in Montréal, Canada, have been researching and developing solar vehicles since 1992. To date, nine vehicle prototypes powered exclusively by solar energy have been created under the name "Eclipse". The Eclipse 9 was completed in spring 2016. SAERTEX USA has been a cooperation partner in the project for several years and supports the "Club Scientifique", as the ETS project group calls itself, by providing carbon fiber fabrics free of charge.
