SAERTEX expands capacity at its headquarters in Saerbeck

SAERTEX® continues to expand at its headquarters in Saerbeck

Saerbeck - SAERTEX is expanding its production area at the Saerbeck site by a further 10,000 square meters to a total of more than 50,000 square meters. District Administrator Dr. Klaus Effing, Saerbeck's Mayor Wilfried Roos, SAERTEX founder Bruno Lammers and his two sons Simon and Klaus Lammers, who recently joined the management team, performed the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

"We hope that the new hall can be completed by the beginning of 2017," said Bruno Lammers in a short speech in front of numerous invited guests. At the same time, Bruno Lammers made a clear commitment to the Saerbeck site: "The SAERTEX Group is growing continuously and we are investing in our future - especially here in Saerbeck. The new production building is a milestone for us and will further improve our productivity and delivery performance for our customers."

The new production hall is being realized by the engineering office Hoff from Gronau. The plant technology is distributed over two levels to improve the automation of the production processes. The particular challenge here is that the ceiling has to bear very high loads of up to two tons per square metre. 9,000 m2 of production space and 1,400 m2 of storage and shipping space are planned for the plant expansion in order to meet the ever-increasing demand for textile reinforcement materials for lightweight construction and the energy transition.
