SAERTEX and Pontis have agreed on a new, close collaboration. The projects focus on the area of last-mile delivery, where electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles offer a more sustainable mobility solution for the transportation of people and goods. The know-how of Pontis Engineering in combination with the reinforcement materials of SAERTEX offers additional added value, especially in the optimization of vehicle range.

The "last-mile delivery" sector in particular is the focus of the collaboration. Electric or hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles are a practical solution for the fast and cost-effective transportation of people and goods on the last leg of their journey. This is a clean transportation solution as the vehicles produce virtually no emissions that affect air quality. This is a particularly important criterion for mobility in conurbations and city centers, the core area of the so-called "last mile".
