Innovations for lightweight construction and sustainability: SAERTEX® at JEC World 2020
For almost 40 years, SAERTEX has stood for innovation and quality in the manufacture of textile reinforcement materials made from glass, carbon, and aramid fibers. This is also reflected in the innovations that the fabric manufacturer is presenting at this year's JEC WORLD in Paris (Hall 5, Booth J6).
In line with this year's trade fair motto "LET'S PUSH THE LIMITS", SAERTEX is presenting a whole range of new glass and carbon fiber materials for rotor blades in wind turbines. The newly developed reinforcement materials are used in the production of blade chords and make it possible to achieve rotor blade lengths of 100 meters and more.
The SAERTEX Basic Line is the new product range with particularly fast delivery times for Europe. It comprises an attractive portfolio of selected standard products that are available from stock. The range covers a variety of typical applications in the boatbuilding, transportation and sports industries.
SAERTEX will be presenting a whole range of innovations at product and project level for other applications in the boatbuilding sector. Among other things, visitors will be able to find out about the new SAERfoam80. In boatbuilding, this innovative core material for sandwich structures is suitable for use in both vacuum infusion and RTM processes. The new SAERfoam materials are suitable for PVC80 users due to their optimized drapability and cost-saving potential.
For applications with the highest fire protection requirements, SAERTEX will be presenting its new LEO series products, which enable the next level of fire protection in shipbuilding and rail vehicles. References and exhibits can be found on the SAERTEX stand and in the JEC Planets.
In addition to the SAERTEX LEO materials, the new UltraFatigue UD, which has been specially developed for leaf springs in passenger cars and trucks, will also be on display for the automotive and transportation sector.
Against the backdrop of the new vision "SAERTEX - Innovation for a resource-saving future", SAERTEX will also be providing an insight into various innovation activities for greater sustainability with and at SAERTEX for the first time. Among other things, the company will be presenting the new Carbon CSM (Chopped Strand Mat) made from recycled fibers for applications in mold making and the automotive industry. SAERTEX experts from all application areas will be available for discussions at the SAERTEX stand J6 in hall 5 to reach the next level at product and application level together with customers and interested parties - true to the motto: LET'S PUSH THE LIMITS.
