SAERTEX sets an example for climate protection and energy efficiency
SAERTEX is one of eleven Ökoprofit companies from the Steinfurt district taking part in the nationwide "Energy Efficiency Networks" initiative. Our aim is to save 1.5 to 2 percent of the kilowatt hours of our total energy requirements within a year and thus contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in the commercial sector.
Background: At the end of 2014, representatives of the German government and German industry agreed to introduce 500 energy efficiency networks and support them until the end of 2020 in order to improve energy efficiency as part of the energy transition. The respective founding agreements were signed by District Administrator Dr. Klaus Effing and the eleven companies in August.
In addition to the Ökoprofit network, which has been in existence since 2004, the energy efficiency network is now the second network in the Steinfurt district that has set itself the goal of saving energy. Both networks are supported by the district of Steinfurt. The following companies have joined together to form networks: Arning Bauunternehmung (Steinfurt), Hengst SE (Nordwalde), RAG Anthrazit (Ibbenbüren), Natura-Holzbau (Rheine), Dachser SE (Rheine), wedi (Emsdetten), SAERTEX (Saerbeck), Quadrant Plastic Composites (Lotte), BOS (Emsdetten), Schemberg-Einrichtungen (Mettigen), Raiffeisen Ochtrup eG.
