Training completed: SAERTEX employees obtain certification in APQP4Wind™
APQP stands for Advanced Product Quality Planning and originally comes from the automotive industry. The Danish companies in the wind industry joined forces in 2017 and adapted this methodology to their own requirements.
APQP4Wind sets new standards in cooperation between wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers. The method defines a framework for the qualification of new materials and provides concrete steps for creating a project plan. Processes defined in this way ensure optimized quality planning. More and more customers from the wind industry are requesting the implementation of the APQP4Wind methodology. In order to provide proof of this for our global customers, our wind specialists from all SAERTEX production sites came together in Saerbeck and took part in a four-day training course. At the end of the seminar, all colleagues successfully passed an exam. As a result, our customers now have representatives at their side worldwide who are familiar with the APQP4Wind requirements - a real advantage when working together.
