Structural lightweight solutions for modern vehicles
Lightweight and robust materials are crucial for modern mobility and transportation solutions. Whether in agricultural machinery, buses or rail vehicles, manufacturers need to reduce weight and increase durability while keeping an eye on costs and sustainability.
In addition, more comfort for passengers requires additional equipment - seats, air conditioning or electronics - and therefore additional weight. This can only be compensated by innovative materials elsewhere, which, in addition to lightweight construction, also meet the highest safety standards.
Composite solutions provide the basis for this: they combine low weight with high stability and reliable fire protection. They therefore replace traditional materials such as wood, aluminum or steel and meet all requirements for durability, safety and cost-effectiveness.

Application in focus
Whether rail or road - lightweight construction plays a key role in efficiency, safety and design. Fiber composite solutions enable lower weight, high rigidity and lasting durability - for reliable and economical vehicle concepts of all kinds.
Floor panels
SAERfoam offers weight savings and excellent moisture resistance. Added to this is high rigidity behavior to ensure the required load-bearing capacity.
Structural components
The low component weight creates scope for additional functions - such as integrated seats, air conditioning systems or other equipment elements.
Window frames and doors
Components made of composite materials require considerably less maintenance and are more resistant to corrosion than components made of steel or aluminum.
Body parts & bumpers
SAERcore enables low weight and high surface quality for exterior components. The material is ideal for closed injection processes such as RTM and RTM Light.
Application areas for mobility & transportation
Agricultural and municipal vehicles
Heavy commercial vehicles place high demands on their components. Composite solutions offer robustness as well as temperature and corrosion resistance - ideal for tractors, sweepers and emergency vehicles.
Caravans and motorhomes
Composite panels for roofs, side walls and interior fittings reduce weight, increase comfort and improve energy efficiency.
Trailers and superstructures
Weight-optimized lightweight structures enable higher payloads while reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.
Last-Mile Delivery
Customized reinforcement materials enable lightweight and efficient vehicle concepts for sustainable urban mobility.
Reinforcement materials for mobility & transportation
Glass fiber NCFs are often the basis for lightweight and stable components in commercial vehicles, buses or motorhomes. They combine high strength with cost-effectiveness and are ideally suited for series applications.
Our product portfolio also offers other solutions for your specific industry requirements—from flow aids for efficient processing to customized product developments.
Self-adhesive non-crimp fabrics reduce positioning and draping time by up to 50% compared to spray adhesives. The adhesive formula lasts up to 10x longer, is compatible with UP, EP and VE resins and ensures consistently high laminate strength. Environmentally friendly and osmosis resistant.
SAERcore is our product range for closed injection processes. The sandwich structure consists of one or two layers of chopped strand mat (CSM) and a core material as a resin flow zone. Fast and efficient resin infusion ensures even resin distribution, reproducible component quality, and high surface quality.
SAERflow combines a lightweight synthetic structure with glass fiber reinforcement to form uncompressible layers with excellent resin flow and good drapability. As an internal flow aid, SAERflow reduces process time and costs by eliminating the need for external flow aids and other consumables.
SAERfoam is our structural core material with integrated 3D glass bridges. It offers up to 4× higher shear stiffness than PVC/PET, reduces resin consumption, and remains lightweight and moldable - ideal for infusion, RTM, and other processes.
Multiaxial and unidirectional fabrics are versatile reinforcing materials for fiber-reinforced plastics. They are used in many industries wherever lightweight yet resilient components are required.
