Fiber composites for durable and efficient buildings
Lightweight. Durable. Corrosion-resistant.
Roads, bridges, tunnels and pipelines form the basis of our infrastructure. Yet many of these structures face increasing challenges from corrosion, rising loads, and evolving performance demands.
Fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) provide a future-oriented alternative to steel or concrete. With FRP, buildings and infrastructure can be designed more efficiently, installed more quickly, and used for decades - with significantly reduced maintenance costs. Weight reduction, faster construction, and greater design freedom combine with exceptional durability and enhanced fire protection.
The possibilities for composite materials are as diverse as their applications. New solutions continue to emerge, making the potential for the construction industry virtually limitless.

Our strengths in infrastructure & construction
Broad product range for every project
Whether glass, carbon or natural fiber - SAERTEX offers the right multiaxial fabrics and core materials. This allows you to customize the balance between cost and performance.
Experience from international infrastructure projects
From bridge construction and electricity pylons to pipe renovation: SAERTEX materials are used all over the world. Our references show how widely our products are used in the construction industry.
Engineering support & customized solutions
Every project has specific requirements. With our engineering support, we work with you to develop individual fiber architectures and process solutions - for efficient production and a long service life for your structures.
Application in focus
From bridges to pipelines: fiber-reinforced plastics prevent corrosion, reduce weight and enable durable solutions in the construction industry.
Bridge elements
The low weight combined with high strength facilitates the transport and assembly of bridge elements and reduces construction costs. Non-crimp fabrics also allow for modern architectural designs thanks to individual fiber alignments.
Poles & Power Carriers
The low weight and high strength facilitate transport and installation and reduce maintenance costs. Their non-conductive and corrosion-resistant properties also increase safety and service life.
Bridge pillars & fender systems
Composite materials are corrosion-resistant and insensitive to water, salt and aggressive environmental influences - for bridges, this ensures a long service life with minimal maintenance.
Areas of application for infrastructure & construction
Buildings of all kinds
Composites are suitable for durable and corrosion-resistant structures of all kinds - from bridges, locks, sheet piling and port facilities to architectural structures such as domes, stadiums or roofing. Their low weight, high strength and freedom of design enable flexible solutions for new buildings and renovations.
Supply & Energy
In energy and industrial plants, composite structures take on load-bearing and protective functions, for example in pylons, tanks, cooling towers or housings. Their resistance to corrosion and chemicals offers clear advantages over steel. They guarantee high strength, weather resistance and long-term stability with significantly reduced maintenance requirements.
Underwater constructions & Aquaculture
High strength and corrosion resistance are crucial for underwater structures and the aquafarming industry. Our composites provide durable and low-maintenance structures in marine environments and are a sustainable alternative to conventional materials.
CIPP & Pipe systems
Fiber composite materials enable the efficient renovation and repair of existing pipelines. They ensure leak-proof, corrosion-resistant and resilient systems in municipal and industrial applications.
Reinforcing materials for infrastructure & construction
The requirements in the construction industry are diverse - from high load-bearing capacity to long-term corrosion resistance, whether on land or in water. New manufacturing processes and innovative, even hybrid products open up additional possibilities for modern infrastructure projects.
With our reinforcement materials, we offer solutions that are specially tailored to the challenges of the construction industry and ensure reliable results over the entire life cycle.
Self-adhesive non-crimp fabrics reduce positioning and draping time by up to 50% compared to spray adhesives. The adhesive formula lasts up to 10x longer, is compatible with UP, EP and VE resins and ensures consistently high laminate strength. Environmentally friendly and osmosis resistant.
SAERcore is our product range for closed injection processes. The sandwich structure consists of one or two layers of chopped strand mat (CSM) and a core material as a resin flow zone. Fast and efficient resin infusion ensures even resin distribution, reproducible component quality, and high surface quality.
SAERfoam is our structural core material with integrated 3D glass bridges. It offers up to 4× higher shear stiffness than PVC/PET, reduces resin consumption, and remains lightweight and moldable - ideal for infusion, RTM, and other processes.
Multiaxial and unidirectional fabrics are versatile reinforcing materials for fiber-reinforced plastics. They are used in many industries wherever lightweight yet resilient components are required.
