The certification covers both parts of the company: SAERTEX GmbH &amp; Co KG with its lightweight construction materials and the subsidiary SAERTEX multiCom GmbH, which produces GRP pipe liners for trenchless sewer rehabilitation. By receiving certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, the SAERTEX GROUP has now successfully implemented its years of optimization in terms of sustainability in an internationally recognized management system standard.<\/p>\n<p>\"Our multiaxial fabrics made of glass and carbon fibers are the material for the energy transition in wind power and our trenchless technology for renovating dilapidated sewers protects the environment. Sustainability is therefore an integral part of our company,\" says Christoph Geyer, CEO of the SAERTEX GROUP. \"The ISO 14001 certification means that the sustainable processes that we have been implementing and continuously optimizing for many years are now transparent and comprehensible for our customers worldwide.\"<\/p>\n<p>The DIN EN ISO 14001 standard has been a globally recognized basis for environmental management systems since 1996 and covers all aspects for the continuous improvement of environmental performance. The core idea of DIN EN ISO 14001 is the promotion of environmental protection, the reduction of negative environmental impacts and thus the correct implementation of operational environmental objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Initial preparations for the introduction of the environmental management system at SAERTEX began at the end of 2021. Following comprehensive analyses, lists of CO<sub>2<\/sub>-By carrying out a number of audits, training employees, optimizing existing processes and introducing new, sustainable processes, SAERTEX has achieved its ISO 14001 implementation targets.<\/p>\n<p>\"Right from the start, the focus was on combining sustainable optimization with the consistent quality of our products,\" adds Kai Diecks, Global Managing Director at SAERTEX multiCom. \"ISO 14001 certification is another important building block in our overall transformation process, enabling us to act as a sustainable business partner for our customers.\"<\/p>\n<p>Since 2009, the company has been certified by the \u00d6koprofit Kreis Steinfurt program at its Saerbeck site and has made considerable savings in terms of CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emissions, energy consumption and waste volumes.
