The tests to date confirm promising results.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saertex.com\/us\/products-2\/core-materials\/saerfoam-series\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAERfoam<\/a> is a hybrid structural core material that combines ultra-light PU, PE or PIR foams with integrated 3D glass bridges. The result: customizable mechanical properties, extremely low weight and high structural strength - ideal for highly stressed areas of rotor blades.<\/p>\n<p>In the Fraunhofer IWES test laboratory<strong>\u00a0<span class=\"productname_firstx\">SAER<\/span><span class=\"productname_second\">foam<\/span> for Wind<\/strong>\u00a0now a\u00a0<strong>patented bending pressure test<\/strong>\u00a0underwent. Real load scenarios are simulated as they occur in the particularly stressed transition areas of rotor blades.<\/p>\n<p>The test results show that fiber-reinforced core materials can achieve the mechanical stability, consistency and reliability of conventional balsa wood.
