SAERTEX GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Saerbeck, successfully presented itself once again at the JEC Composites Show in Paris from March 24 - 26, 2009. SAERTEX presented the innovative products and solutions that its partners and clients have come to rely on at the world's largest trade fair for composites.

SAERTEX created an exhibition piece on its 90 square meter stand that was of particular interest for visitors: a component of the world’s first transit bus that is exclusively run by batteries. The trend-setting bus, created with materials supplied by SAERTEX USA, was created entirely from composites (without any metal supporting structures) and is already in use in the State of California. Unidirectional carbon fibers and various types of glass-fiber fabrics (unidirectional, bidiagonal, triaxial, quadraxial) were used.

The JEC Composites Show - the leading trade fair worldwide in this industry - offers a complete overview of the production chain in the composites field each year. More than 1000 exhibitors (raw materials producers, representatives of the processing industry and end consumers) welcomed 300,000 visitors from more than 100 countries this year. Bruno Lammers, Managing Director of Saertex GmbH & C. KG, filled the role of honorary president at this year's fair.
