SAERTEX had a successful showing at the "Wind Power Asia" trade fair in the China National Convention Center in Beijing from June 23 - 25. “Wind Power Asia” is the largest specialized trade fair for wind energy technology in Asia and is central to the Asian and international wind-energy industry. SAERTEX is one of the world leaders in the development and production of textile fabrics - the so-called non-crimp fabrics - which are used in the production of rotor wings for wind power facilities. Correspondingly, the attention at the SAERTEX trade fair stand was phenomenal. Countless customers and interested individuals visited the stand on all three days of the fair.
Unlike numerous European countries, the Chinese government has invested significantly in offshore wind energy for years. SAERTEX has been strong in this sector since 1982 and has the requisite experience and expertise. It is no surprise that the Chinese wind industry is interested in the know-how of the Saerbeck-based company.
One of the highlights of the trade fair was the SAERTEX cut-kits. These SAERTEX products, tailored precisely to customer specifications, have numerous advantages. The most important are the potential for savings in terms of time and material and a significant increase in quality, efficiency and product results.
SAERTEX presented its carbon fabrics, which are relatively unknown to the Chinese wind industry. Trade fair visitors were impressed by the high-quality production and excellent performance of these carbon fabrics.
SAERTEX has been active in China since 2008, with a production facility in Dongying. Apart from that, the SAERTEX group has a branch in Beijing, the Chinese capital. All of the company’s Asian activities are controlled from this location. Soon, SAERTEX will be opening another factory in Taicang. Taicang is some 40 kilometers to the northwest of Shanghai and about one hour's drive from the Pudong airport.
