SAERTEX GmbH & Co. KG of Saerbeck, Germany, has taken over three warp knitting and one coating machine from the Slovakian company OMFRA Fabrics. OMFA Fabrics is a subsidiary of the German glass weaving company Wendland and abandoned producing multiaxial fabrics in their Slovakian plant in February 2008.
SAERTEX's purchase of these machines enables the group to quickly expand its production capacities in the US and Germany (Saerbeck). The equipment will come into operation in Charlotte (North Carolina, USA) and at the group's Saerbeck base from the middle of June 2008 onwards.
